MANIPULATIVE MEDIA AND INFORMATION Tools that allow students to move from having only rudimentary knowledge of an abstract concept to having a more in-depth understanding of it using their visual and kinesthetic senses are known as manipulative media items or tools. They are used to support hands-on learning models that students can manipulate to gain understanding and/or mastery of a concept. General Objective   The student has a thorough understanding of the similarities and differences between various manipulatives, media, and information, as well as how to assess, design, develop, implement (use), and evaluate them.
